<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Mount Carmel College of Nursing</p> <p>Special Instructor, Adjunct</p> <p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>Seeking qualified candidates for adjunct nursing faculty positions to provide clinical instruction in critical care, medical-surgical, and obstetrics settings. Adjunct faculty will work closely with nursing students in various clinical environments, guiding them in the application of nursing theory to patient care, promoting safe and evidence-based practices, and supporting the development of clinical judgment.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Education/Experience: Based on the program, the colleague must meet education and practice requirements as applicable. </li><li>Must hold a current active unrestricted applicable license in the State of Ohio </li><li>Current CPR certification is required if teaching in a clinical setting </li><li>Teaching experience in a collegiate or university setting is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervises, evaluates, and advises students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences. </li><li>Maintains student records. </li><li>Facilitates a learning and caring environment which encourages critical thinking, investigation, self-direction, and respect for the uniqueness of each individual student. </li><li>Maintains communication and oversees the activities of Assistant Instructors/Preceptors regarding course curriculum and student evaluation, if applicable. </li><li>Participates in professional activities, programs and professional organizations. </li><li>Participates in peer review. </li><li>Participates in College and Faculty Assembly according to full-time/part-time employment status. </li><li>Attends required College functions. </li><li>Mentors new faculty. </li><li>Participates in scholarly activities, either individually or collaboratively. </li></ul> <p>#MCCN</p> <p>Mount Carmel and all its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
