<p>DUTIES:</p> <p>1.Responsible to Head Teacher, Special Education Supervisor, and the Chief of Pupil Services</p> <p>2.Keep student attendance records and follow up with absenteeism</p> <p>3.Provide timely information to families and students</p> <p>4.Prevent regression through academic and/or gross motor and/or social skills instruction as outlined in the students' IEPs</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.</p> </li><li> <p>Assume responsibility for the office and clerical work associated with this Extended Year Program</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate student attendance and retention of skills during the Extended Year program to the students' 2015-2016 schools.</p> </li><li> <p>Feed, diaper, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional duties assigned by the Head Teacher of this summer program.</p> </li></ol> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Presently employed as a Special Education teacher in the Springfield Public Schools.</p> </li><li> <p>Has not received a layoff notice.</p> </li><li> <p>Understands the goals and requirements of the State Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core as in the area of instruction..
