Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Gas Systems Manager will be responsible for the designing of new gas infrastructure for new developments, street improvement projects and needed main extensions.</p> <ul> <li>Review proposed plats for needed easements for gas infrastructure. </li><li>Review projects for impact on existing infrastructure and propose new alignments as needed to stay clear of improvements. </li><li>Work with developers and contractors as needed. </li><li>Manage survey techs to get projects staked for construction crews and field notes gathered for data to posted to GIS and record drawings. </li><li>Mange Engineer Assistant II's, Draftsmen and GIS Tech to ensure all maps and record drawings are updated. </li><li>Enter project information into Maximo to create new projects for construction. </li><li>Lead team in gathering requests and facilitate prioritization and planning. </li><li>Approve and monitor all actions to ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal regulations. </li><li>Develop technical and administrative reports for Assistant Director of Gas Operations. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires a Bachelor's degree </li><li>A Bachelor's degree in Engineering highly preferred </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of related experience </li><li>Minimum of two (2) of those years must be supervisory experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>ESRI, Programming ArcOjects with VBA, ArcGIS II, and ArcInfo using ARcTools all highly preferred </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - TMRS is a required retirement plan for all full-time employees.
