<p>Essential Duties</p> <ol> <li>Develops and implements primary prevention, bystander intervention, and risk reduction strategies for sexual misconduct. 2. Works closely with freshman counselors, the masters Heads of residential colleges, college dean, SHARE, Yale Health, student organizations, and athletic teams. 3. Assists in hiring, training, and supervising the Communication and Consent Educators, a group of students focused on sexual misconduct prevention and education. 4. May perform other duties as assigned. </li></ol> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ol> <li>Bachelor's Degree required. 2. For additional information on the background check requirements and process visit "Learn about background checks" under the Applicant Support Resources section of Careers on the It's Your Yale website.</p> <p>Position Focus:</p> <p>The role of the Student Affairs Fellow (SAF) is to develop and implement primary prevention, bystander intervention, and risk reduction strategies for sexual violence, sexual harassment, and other forms of sexual misconduct, and the use of alcohol and other drugs by students. The SAF will report to the assistant dean of student affairs and will work closely with first-year students and first-year counselors, the Heads of residential colleges, college deans, student educators, SHARE, Yale Health, student organizations, and athletic teams. The SAF will assist in hiring, training, and supervising the Communication and Consent Educators, a group of students focused on sexual misconduct prevention and education. The SAF will research and help develop policies and programs to reduce the risks associated with the use of drugs and alcohol. This is a full-time, 12-month position that includes late evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays.
