All employees of Academy Charter School work together to achieve ACS's mission. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed below, we seek teachers who are collaborative with colleagues, empathetic in their relationships with students and families, and willing to work above and beyond their job description in order to ensure success for students.</p> <p>Position Specific Information (if Applicable):</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Administer assessments, such as WIDA and Access, to identify eligibility for services.</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze assessment data to understand students' needs and implement research-based plans with goals focused on all four language domains</p> </li><li> <p>Keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports using robust progress monitoring to track language development and goal progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Create curricular resources to address students' language development goals in alignment with ELD standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Accommodate curricular assignments to meet the learning needs of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and promote positive relationships among various school and community stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Model and foster independent thinking skills, creative problem-solving, and abstract reasoning</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>B.A./B.S. or higher</p> </li><li> <p>Colorado Teacher License in Elementary Ed with English as a Second Language Education or linguistically diverse endorsement.</p> </li><li> <p>Expert-level written and oral communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Entrepreneurial outlook and charter school commitment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work collaboratively in a K-8 setting</p> </li><li> <p>Strong self-starter; able to work with limited direction</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work 7:20 AM.-3:50 PM M-F</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Previous ELD teaching experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in and knowledge of K-8 charter schools</p> </li></ul> <p>FTE: 0.5 (20 hours/week)</p> <p>FTE Salary: $52,000 - $64,000</p> <p>Application Deadline: ongoing</p> <p>Target Start Date: July 1, 2025</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>Teaching License - Colorado Department of Education</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree (Required)</p> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Charter School</p> <p>Primary Location:</p> <p>Academy Charter School</p> <p>One Year Only (Yes or No):</p> <p>No</p> <p>Scheduled Hours Per Week:</p> <p>40</p> <p>FTE:</p> <p>1.00</p> <p>Approx Scheduled Days Per Year:</p> <p>185 Work Days</p> <ul> <li>(260 days indicates a year-round position.
