<p>JOB DESCRIPTIONClass Title: Concessions Manager</p> <p>Pay: $20.00 per hour</p> <p>Department: Department of Parks & Recreation - Bureau of Recreation</p> <p>Union: N/A</p> <p>GENERAL PURPOSE</p> <p>To oversee the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the pool and spray park concessions program by managing daily food service operations, supervising staff, maintaining health and safety standards, controlling inventory and cash handling, and delivering high-quality customer service. The Concessions Manager ensures compliance with all health regulations and facility policies while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and supporting a positive recreational experience for all patrons.</p> <p>SUPERVISION RECEIVED</p> <p>Works under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager, Assistant Aquatics Manager, and Pool Manager, Recreation Manager, Recreation Program Specialist(s), and Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation.</p> <p>SUPERVISION EXERCISED</p> <p>May exercise supervision over Concessions Cashiers.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>" Oversees daily replenishment of concession food items and places, coordinates, and picks up food orders as necessary.</p> <p>" Reviews the concessions operations manual with staff prior to the opening of pool and spray park concession operations and ensures staff understanding and compliance.</p> <p>" Makes sound, responsible decisions regarding all aspects of the pool/spray park concessions operation.</p> <p>" Identifies operational, staffing, food service, or cash-handling issues and takes appropriate corrective action to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate operations.</p> <p>" Develops, maintains, and posts concessions staff work schedules at least two (2) weeks in advance, ensuring a supervisor (Concessions Manager) is present during all operating hours.</p> <p>" Organizes and conducts weekly staff meetings to communicate expectations, review procedures, including cash handling protocols, and address operational needs.</p> <p>" Acts as a liaison between the Aquatics Director/Assistant Aquatics Director and concessions staff to ensure clear communication and coordination.</p> <p>" Performs cashier duties as necessary, including processing cash and electronic transactions accurately and in accordance with established procedures.</p> <p>" Supervises all cash handling activities, including cash drawers, point-of-sale systems, balancing of receipts, preparation of deposits, and verification of daily sales totals.</p> <p>Ensures cash drawers are properly issued, reconciled, and secured, and investigates and reports cash discrepancies in accordance with City policies.</p> <p>" Maintains strict accountability for cash, credit, and electronic transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and established financial procedures.</p> <p>" Maintains accurate and complete facility records, including payroll, time sheets, temperature logs, inventory records, cash reports, deposits, incident and accident reports, facility safety checks, cleanliness logs, staff meeting notes, and training documentation.</p> <p>" Maintains responsibility for all facility keys, including their secure handling, distribution, and collection.</p> <p>" Coordinates and cooperates with recreation programming to support facility operations and special events.</p> <p>" Exercises appropriate authority and requests additional authorization as needed to efficiently and effectively manage the concessions operation.</p> <p>" Closes the concessions operation during inclement weather, emergencies, or other situations requiring suspension of service.</p> <p>" Reports vandalism, safety concerns, cash irregularities, and required repairs to the Aquatics Director or Assistant Aquatics Director in a timely manner.</p> <p>" Supervises food service operations and cashier procedures during all operating hours to ensure compliance with policies, health regulations, and cash-handling requirements.</p> <p>Requisitions all necessary supplies through the Aquatics Manager or Assistant Aquatics Manager.</p> <p>" Provides quality and effective customer service with courtesy, professionalism, and understanding to customers, citizens, and internal departments.</p> <p>" Performs related work as may be required.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>A. High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>B. 18 years of age or order, preferred.</p> <p>C. Must have a valid driver's license.</p> <p>Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <p>A. Knowledge of food handling and cashier techniques</p> <p>B. Ability to supervise the work of subordinate concession personnel.</p> <p>C. Ability to exercise tact and judgment in maintaining a properly running concessions stand</p> <p>D. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates, participants and the public.</p> <p>E.
