<p>Electrical Engineer</p> <p>ID: NPSHACE-008-001 Location: Lowell Program: NPS</p> <p>Wage/Hr: $65.00 Hours/Week: 10 Minimum Age: 55</p> <p>For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.</p> <p>NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).</p> <p>Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.</p> <p>PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.</p> <p>This opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States.</p> <p>Duration</p> <p>This position is funded for up to 320 total hours.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>BA/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering</p> <p>Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel AutoCAD preferred Duties:</p> <p>Serve as a consulting Electrical Engineer to parks in the region.</p> <p>Reviews and prepares preliminary design, design, and construction documents (drawings, specifications, cost estimates, special studies/reports) for projects. 30% Shares expertise with division engineers and architects to inform scoping, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining park infrastructure. Mentors division electrical engineer, as required. 30% Works closely with contracting officer and acquisition team as required for site visits, submittal review, and project modifications 20% Provides technical assistance or emergency response to park staff. 20%</p> <p>Other: Required Certifications: Current or former professional engineering license preferred Overnight travel: Potential travel to PA and potentially throughout Interior Region 1, 1-2 days per week may be necessary in the beginning, but could decrease to 1-2 days every other week as project continues Air travel anticipated: Depending on enrollee location, air travel may be required 1-2 days per week in the beginning but could decrease to 1-2 every other week as project continues Physical requirements: Job is mostly sedentary, but some walking, climbing, and crawling to inspect structures may be required during site visits.
