<p>Molding Machine / Assembly Operator</p> <p>Summary: In a safe environment, operate molding machines to schedule, and assemble and pack quality parts.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate molding machines, assemble quality parts, and pack parts produced. Maintain 5S in assigned work area. Report daily production and scrap, and work with supervisor and co-workers to resolve production issues. Ability to write in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills required.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability: Ability to manage multiple priorities while assisting supervision. The following specific physical demands are required:</p> <p>Using an power tools and other mechanical tools - Use air tools and other mechanical tools to tighten parts and ensure they are within specifications.</p> <p>Packaging product - Placing material into plastic bags.</p> <p>Boxing product- Placing the finish product into boxes</p> <p>Cutting open boxes - Cutting and removing tape and raw material to be processed</p> <p>Scanning labels - Scan finished product into the system. Using a scanning device</p> <p>Make labels - Unroll a roll of labels, place roll into a label machine, use the computer to enter information for that specific job and label.</p> <p>Tapping boxes - Add packaging materials, secure the box and apply tape.</p> <p>Dipping and rinsing - clean parts when required using water or alcohol and follow safety protocols.</p> <p>5S - Ensure workstations are maintain in a clean and orderly manner following the principles of 5S. This involves sweeping, picking up unused material, sacking and putting away unused material, and dumping large trash cans.</p> <p>Assembling - Assemble parts by hand ex. (screwing two parts together, snapping a part into another part, wrapping a part in plastic, breaking down a part and making it into another part).</p> <p>Stamping UPS Code - Ensure appropriate UPC code or serial number is added to finished parts using a stamp.</p> <p>Walking/Standing 100% of time worked</p> <p>Able to climb stairs, stoop</p> <p>Able to drive between facilities</p> <p>Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds</p> <p>Must have dexterity to use hand and power tools</p> <p>Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
