In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical equipment and infrastructure across one of the world's most iconic open-pit mining operations.</p> <p>Reporting to the Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance working 4 on 4 off continuous roster, your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Performing troubleshooting and maintenance on electrical systems from 12V DC to 13.8kV AC, including switchgear, transformers, and distribution panels. </li><li>Diagnosing and repairing AC and DC motors, including motor control circuits and starters. </li><li>Maintaining and troubleshooting variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters. </li><li>Installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation devices such as proximity sensors, level sensors, RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors), and pressure sensors. </li><li>Inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical cables, terminations, and connections. </li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. </li><li>Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and site-specific policies. </li><li>Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to support system upgrades and commissioning. </li><li>Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to a high-performance maintenance team. </li></ul> <p>Eligibility Notice</p> <p>Applicants must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States. You'll work in a modern, well-equipped environment with structured training and development pathways-right here in Salt Lake City, where you'll be home every day.</p> <p>What you'll bring</p> <ul> <li>A strong commitment to safety-for yourself, your team, and the site-aligned with our "Zero Harm" culture. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or mining electrical maintenance. </li><li>Proven experience working with medium voltage (MV) systems up to 13.8kV. </li><li>Solid knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques and proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters and megohmmeters. </li><li>Familiarity with PLC systems and basic automation controls is a plus. </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced mining environment. </li><li>Valid driver's license and ability to pass site-specific safety training. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. </li><li>Willingness to work in various environmental conditions. </li><li>Availability for overtime and rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night). </li></ul> <p>What we offer</p> <p>We believe in recognizing and rewarding your hard work, innovative ideas, and dedication.
