<p>Job Title: Tooling Engineer</p> <p>For questions or to apply can contact Christopher Davis at chridavi @actalentservices.com or 330 -842-1023</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are looking for a Tooling Engineer to act as a liaison between the toolroom and engineering, bridging the gap between these two departments.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Spend time on the toolroom floor to understand tooling descriptions and terminology </li><li>Use measuring equipment and hand tools (micrometers and calipers) to verify details and compare against CAD drawings for verification of BOM and models </li><li>Review and interpret 2D and 3D drawings to determine necessary dimension changes </li><li>Capture details off tooling and equipment to update measurements for design </li><li>Drafting and design changes for fixtures and existing tooling </li><li>Participate in design review meetings for new die builds </li><li>Support Engineering with administrative paperwork and tool books </li><li>Support production to meet deadlines by communicating between all departments: toolroom, engineering, machining, and maintenance teams </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of tool and die experience </li><li>Hands-on measuring or inspection experience </li><li>2D AutoCAD exposure </li><li>Experience working on or alongside design teams </li><li>Knowledge of CAD drawings and Bill of Materials </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3D design experience </li><li>Scanning / 3D printing experience or willingness to learn </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The production floor is a stamping environment, which can be loud at times, but is very clean. The separate Tooling department is clean, quiet, and organized, consisting of 10-12 people on the first shift, including Machinists, Programmers, and Tool & Die Makers. This position involves working between the toolroom and engineering, with occasional work on the production floor. The role is a salaried exempt position with a 1st shift schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, and Fridays from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
