<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Internship</p> <p>Description</p> <p>RenewAire's Engineering Internship offers real world experience doing work that is critical to the health of people and the planet. You will support the Engineering team by completing New Product Development part and product design tasks as well as product improvement projects for our Energy Recovery Ventilators. As you create CAD drawings, perform tolerance stack-ups, and apply appropriate tolerances, you will learn more about the manufacturing issues in the design process. You will also perform some testing and model shop work. This position is highly collaborative with the Engineering Manager and other engineers.</p> <p>Come join RenewAire in our mission to provide clean, healthy indoor air while reducing energy costs!</p> <p>WHAT YOU WILL DO:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare virtual models and assemblies of parts and products under development along with required drawings. Use SolidWorks to initiate concepts. </li><li>Design parts and products using SolidWorks for achievement of project goals, fit and function, ease of manufacturing, reduced cost. Develop part drawings per RenewAire drafting practices. </li><li>Grow ability to develop product knowledge in order to quickly provide design changes on product improvement projects. </li><li>Follow administrative functions and prepare necessary forms to be used in the new product release process i.e. Item masters, change control process, etc. </li><li>May involve physical work in test lab to build prototypes and conduct unit performance and sound testing. </li><li>Interact as necessary with technicians to implement new designs on the manufacturing floor. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>WHO YOU ARE:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a current Junior or Senior enrolled in an Engineering degree program </li><li>SolidWorks or other CAD program experience a plus </li><li>Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office </li><li>Mechanical aptitude </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU BRING:</p> <ul> <li>Strong problem-solving skills </li><li>A creative approach for generating new ideas </li><li>Ability to build relationships and work within a team </li><li>Strong communication skills </li><li>Demonstrated original thinking, judgment and decision making, problem solving </li><li>Technical aptitude, accuracy with detail, planning and organizing, efficiency </li><li>Highly motivated/committed to RenewAire's mission while remaining flexible and resilient </li></ul> <p>Salary Description</p> <p>$20/hr</p>
