<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Night Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Come join the Centralized Transport team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Performs various duties in transporting patients and supplies to various patient testing areas of the medical center assigned through the EPIC system.</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Upon notification from the EPIC system or from the Hub Dispatcher, transports patients to and from patient areas and various diagnostic and treatment centers in a safe, dignified, and efficient manner. Patients are transported by three modes of transportation, bed, stretcher or wheelchair. </li><li>Answers pages on beeper or Rover device. </li><li>Completes transport request steps before, during, and after transport in the EPIC system. </li><li>Responsible for transporting medication during specific patient transports. </li><li>Assists with transferring of patients using proper body mechanics and safe lift equipment. </li><li>When assigned, transports supplies and materials from one department to another. </li><li>Maintains the cleanliness of all transport equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, etc. </li><li>Monitors the number and placement of Transport wheelchairs, stretchers and oxygen cylinders. </li><li>Completes yearly competency form. </li></ul> <p>Environmental and Working conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Some minor physical inconvenience or discomfort present in the work place. Moderate noise, disagreeable odors, etc. or occasional exposure to minor injury or other occupational hazard requiring precautions. </li><li>Requires prolonged standing, walking, and constant physical movements on a routine basis. </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs. individually.
