Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.</p> <p>Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum</p> <p>$141,252.00 - $162,364.00 - $192,067.00</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Through the leadership of the BH Director of Clinical Pharmacy Programs, this Baystate Health leadership position is primarily responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the Clinical Pharmacy Program and Services for the Acute Care Pharmacy Department. This includes direct oversight of the Medication History Technician Program. The scope includes the clinical program for Baystate Health. This oversight shall include development of pharmacy services that are aligned with organizational goals and the advancement of services to support a cost-effective service model. The Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor will ensure that appropriate communication and planning occurs to engage staff and other members of the leadership team to collaborate on shared goals. This position also has direct report responsibilities for pharmacists and/or technicians. These responsibilities will include time card management and performance reviews.</p> <p>The Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor will have oversight for all the Care Team and Specialist Model at Baystate Medical Center. The Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor will lead the Clinical Leadership Committee and serve on other Committees as necessary to coordinate and maintain the clinical pharmacy services. The supervisor is expected to work with the leadership team to develop goals that are aligned with departmental, service line and organizational strategy. The Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor will also maintain a specialized practice area and where applicable, will serve as a PGY1 Preceptor and/or PGY2 Program director within their practice area. As a PGY2 Program Director, the Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of leadership and program compliance for their program, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Education Coordinator.</p> <p>The Pharmacy Clinical Supervisor will work regularly with front line staff to develop structures to support the clinical and operational programs in the Pharmacy Department. Will collaborate regularly with the Pharmacy Leadership Team and will focus on the development of service and staffing models that are supported by Pharmacy Operations Leadership.</p> <p>Performs other pharmacist, leadership and administrative duties as assigned; this includes on-call, inpatient pharmacy staffing (when necessary), special projects and regulatory oversight (DPH, Board of Pharmacy, TJC). Conducts staff meetings, attends appropriate hospital committees and is able to react to (and embrace) change. Adheres to system and department compliance policies, and any and all applicable laws and regulations.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>1) Clinical Pharmacy Program Oversight:</p> <p>Leads the planning, development, and implementation of staffing and service models that advance the practice of pharmacy and the care of our patients at Baystate, while working to do so at an affordable cost. Ensures staff engagement in the planning processes and collaborates regularly and communicates frequently with Pharmacy Leadership.</p> <p>2) Medication History Program Oversight</p> <p>Leads and supervises the staff in the Med History Program. Devotes the necessary time to ensure staff are performing consistently in their roles and that the service is optimized. This includes time-keeping and performance reviews. Coordinates with other pharmacy leaders on staff scheduling and works with the customers to ensure a high level of service and productivity.</p> <p>3) Practice Leadership:</p> <p>Promotes advancement of care within their specialty practice. This may include, but is not limited to, service on and leadership of various committees related to their practice. This also includes mentor-ship of other pharmacy staff.</p> <p>4) Acute Care Pharmacy Support:</p> <p>Supports clinical pharmacy team staffing in the acute care pharmacy.</p> <p>5) PGY2 Program Leadership:</p> <p>Serves as a PGY2 Residency Program Director. Ensures compliance with ASHP standards. Collaborates with the Education Coordinator and other preceptors to ensure a robust program.
