<p>Maintenance Supervisor (1st Shift)</p> <p>At Richelieu Foods, we are dedicated to a culture of belonging for everyone. We have two manufacturing facilities located in IL and WI. We provide products to many national retailers, wholesalers, distributors, club and mass stores, as well as industrial accounts including other food manufacturers.</p> <p>This position is based out of our?Beaver Dam, Wisconsin location.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (1st Shift), who will lead a Maintenance Team to implement a maintenance and reliability strategy aimed at reducing downtime and extending manufacturing equipment's life while maximizing labor and cost efficiency.</p> <p>This position will be responsible for setting work priorities for Technicians on their shift. This role will ensure?full utilization of all maintenance information systems (CMMS).</p> <p>The ability to build, transform and lead a successful team and provide clear direction and instruction is essential.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Drive a safety culture that prioritizes safe work practices and procedures, ensure all activities align with regulatory requirements that may apply, e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA, state and local building and fire code regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates and enforces all Company, Plant and Departmental work rules and policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage, coach, recruit and develop an engaged, high performing Maintenance Team (Leads and Technicians) that meets agreed objectives, delivers best practice results, and values continuous improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure consistency with communication across all shifts within the Maintenance Department.</p> </li><li> <p>Organizes and oversees the work schedules and work quality of Maintenance Team.</p> </li><li> <p>Sets priorities for the Maintenance Team to ensure task completion. Coordinates work activities with Leads and Maintenance Planners to support daily objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates systems or facilities systems to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure individual and team compliance with all food regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to food safety and GMP's.</p> </li><li> <p>Works closely with the Maintenance Planners to ensure that works orders are being completed in a timely and efficient manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides any support Maintenance Team may need to execute the work orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages housekeeping and 5S activities to keep the Maintenance area clean and organized.</p> </li><li> <p>All other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 5 years plant Maintenance experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, and/or mechanical breakdowns and equipment failure.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with internal and external customers and local contractors.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient user of Microsoft Office suites.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of CMMS systems (Emaint or SAP preferred) or similar software experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associates degree in a technical area and/or completion of an apprenticeship program.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in a combustible dust environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills with proven ability to develop relationships internally and externally.</p> </li></ul> <p>Competencies:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrated leadership skills in motivating, coaching and involvement concepts such as team building and employee motivation.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to maintain a positive attitude to lead, guide, train and grow the Maintenance crew.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams across all shifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess a continuous improvement mindset.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to function in a team-based environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Capability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on delivery of plant goals and metrics.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability in problem solving techniques.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks. The employee is frequently exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. </li></ul> <p>Universal Pay Verbiage:</p> <p>The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation for this role is between $81,000 and $105,000. This role is also eligible for our Plant Supervisor Bonus Plan.
