<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs, including but not limited to, the material handling/conveyor and part removal systems, mill drives and press bases.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools. </li><li>Troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment, e.g., mills, presses, conveyors, etc. </li><li>Use the following equipment safely: </li><li>Hand tools </li><li>Hand and Surface grinders </li><li>Wheel Puller </li><li>Torches </li><li>Pipe Threader </li><li>Hydraulic Jacks </li><li>Welders </li><li>Scissor Lift </li><li>Lathe </li><li>Forklift </li><li>Milling Machine </li><li>Drill Presses </li><li>Work in a safe manner provide constant attention and communication regarding safety concerns to leaders in order to limit unsafe practices throughout the facility. </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance and provide input on updates to preventive maintenance schedules. </li><li>Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system. </li><li>Engage with outside resources as needed to keep production running. </li><li>Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality. </li><li>Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and tools. </li><li>Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested. </li><li>Advanced troubleshooting of both equipment and systems. </li><li>Advanced understanding of press inspections and ability to interpret drawings. </li><li>Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Position Skills and Experience Requirements:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Journeyman Machine Repair or Machine Repair Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion </li><li>Minimum of five years of Machine Repair experience preferred. </li><li>Advanced in Pneumatics and Hydraulics </li><li>Advanced understanding of relevant Robotic controls. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. word, excel, outlook, etc). </li><li>Ability to drive KTMR support. </li></ul>
