We have an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer, New Product Development in our Troy, Ohio location.</p> <p>In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>In partnership with the team leader, develop and execute plans to handle various assigned projects to successful completion, on time, and within budget in accordance with sound engineering principles.</p> </li><li> <p>Support existing product changes through the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct formal reviews of draft ECO's (Engineering Change Orders) with the appropriate departments and provide feedback to the off-site Engineering group.</p> </li><li> <p>Determine production needs as a result of ECO's and procure and implement appropriate resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively communicate and coordinate process/product changes to all affected departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Support new product development and implementation through the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Lead cross-functional project teams</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate all trials and Engineering requests for samples</p> </li><li> <p>Develop/Update process flow diagrams and layouts</p> </li><li> <p>Determine/Define processes and cycle times that will meet customer demand</p> </li><li> <p>Determine and procure items such as line side material storage, hand tools and tool holders, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage 'small' capital projects such as:</p> </li><li> <p>Equipment refurbishment/replacement</p> </li><li> <p>Material storage projects</p> </li><li> <p>Support manufacturing improvements in the areas of:</p> </li><li> <p>Safety - Housekeeping, Ergonomics and Work environment</p> </li><li> <p>Quality - Reduce warranty cost and other defects</p> </li><li> <p>Productivity - Reduce downtime and improve cycle time.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor degree required, preferably a BS in Engineering or related degree. </li><li>Three years of experience in industry with various types of manufacturing processes. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering manuals, shop layout drawings, and OSHA standards. </li><li>Ability to write work area procedures, time studies, engineering technical reports, and other related engineering documents. </li><li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees. </li><li>Ability to work with large databases and identify and sort relevant data. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects consecutively. </li><li>Must have sound organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to identify and address project details. </li><li>Knowledge of CAD software is a plus. </li></ul> <p>We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, 401(k), Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and Educational Assistance.</p> <p>Please visit our website at</p> <p>www.clopaydoor.com</p> <p>to learn more about our company.</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer, providing a drug-free work environment.</p> <p>Get job alerts by email.
