<p>The golf course ranger ensures that golfers have an enjoyable and safe experience while playing on the course. This role involves monitoring pace of play, enforcing course rules, and providing excellent customer service to guests. Provides assistance to the golf course operation including custodial tasks involved in the maintenance of the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course. This position typically works 15-20 hours per week. Hours may include evening and weekends.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for educating and enforcing golf course rules and proper course etiquette. </li><li>Provides positive customer service and positive interactions with the public. </li><li>Responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of carts. </li><li>Establish and maintain rapport with customers and members of the golf course. </li><li>Establish and maintain order on the first tee and ensure pace of play is maintained to course standards. </li><li>Follow written and verbal instruction. </li><li>Performs general maintenance of golf course including but not limited to moving tee blocks, picking up broken tees, and fixing ball marks on greens. </li><li>Performs janitorial and custodial tasks at the Gahanna Municipal Golf Course; including maintenance and custodial tasks related to restroom facilities. </li><li>Drive(s) a golf cart. </li><li>Handles equipment safely and appropriately; uses appropriate safety equipment when performing essential job functions. </li><li>Participates in snow removal when necessary. </li><li>This is heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </li></ul> <p>Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required.</p> <ul> <li>Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
