<p>Camp Valcrest Local Government Outreach Coordinator</p> <p>VISTA Assignment Objectives and Member ActivitiesGoal of the Overall VISTA Project: The proposed VISTA project seeks to support the GOALS mission and vision of providing team-oriented, free, long-term social development opportunities through the organization's three core components of athletics, learning, and service-learning. Centered in Orange County, California, this initiative will primarily focus on serving low-income, at-risk youth in underservedcommunities and adults with physical and developmental disabilities by encouraging and propelling their potential towards scholastic endeavors and the development andenhancement of workforce skills to prepare them for their future academic and professional endeavors. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : The member will support GOALS' Camp Valcrest initiative through strategic outreach and stakeholder engagement. They will research and develop a database of local, state, and federal officials relevant to the region, including contact details and policy interests. The member will craft outreach materials (e.g., one-pagers, slide decks) to introduce GOALS' mission and Camp Valcrest's vision, followed by personalized communications, calls, and visits. They'll coordinate meetings, presentations, and site visits to strengthen relationships with decision-makers and maintain ongoing engagement.
