The Assistant Director of Finance - Productivity & Financial Analysis plays a critical leadership role in supporting the financial health of the hotel.</p> <p>This position partners closely with the Director of Finance and operational leaders to drive financial performance, labor productivity, and data-driven decision-making. The role oversees core accounting functions while elevating the hotel's analytical capabilities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and actionable insights that improve profitability.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Financial Reporting & Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Hyatt standards </li><li>Lead variance analysis (revenue, labor, expenses) vs. budget, forecast, and prior year; provide clear business insights and recommendations </li><li>Support financial reviews and presentations with ownership/leadership teams </li><li>Develop and maintain KPI dashboards (e.g., RevPAR, GOP, labor productivity, cost ratios) to support operational decision-making </li></ul> <p>Productivity & Cost Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee hotel productivity initiatives, with a strong focus on labor optimization and operational efficiency </li><li>Partner with department leaders to analyze staffing models, scheduling, and productivity metrics </li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement without compromising guest experience </li><li>Monitor departmental expenses and enforce accountability to financial targets </li></ul> <p>Accounting Operations & Month-End Close</p> <ul> <li>Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations </li><li>Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes and reporting </li><li>Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies </li><li>Maintain oversight of AP, AR, and cash management functions </li></ul> <p>Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning</p> <ul> <li>Support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes </li><li>Build financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic planning </li><li>Facilitate collaboration with department heads to align operational goals with financial targets </li></ul> <p>Internal Controls, Compliance & Audit</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with Hyatt policies, SOX requirements, and local regulations </li><li>Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation </li><li>Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and responses to auditor requests </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Business Partnership</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and develop accounting colleagues, including training, coaching, and performance management </li><li>Serve as a strategic partner to operations, translating financial data into actionable insights </li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration </li><li>Support system optimization and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Collaborative and team-driven environment with diverse industry experience and multi-cultural backgrounds </li><li>Health benefit eligibility at 30 days of employment (FT only) </li><li>401K with company match - eligible to contribute at 30 days of employment </li><li>Discounted room nights at over 1,000 Hyatt properties upon hire </li><li>Free room nights at over 1,000 Hyatt properties at 90 days of employment (FT/PT) </li><li>Education Assistance/Tuition Reimbursement (FT/PT) </li><li>complimentary employee parking </li><li>Access to hotel gym </li><li>Free meals in colleague cafeteria </li><li>Paid Time Off including Vacation, Sick Time, Holidays (eligibility and amount dependent on employment status) </li><li>Annual performance-based increases </li></ul> <p>Salary: Salary range for this position is $93,000 to $100,000.
