<p>As a Fiber Splicer III, you will be responsible for high-level splicing projects as Velox finishes and maintains fiber optic networks throughout the Southeast.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Terminate and test fiber optic networks according to engineered drawings (including aerial, underground and ISP networks) </li><li>Prep and splice all cables, enclosures and racks </li><li>OTDR testing, power meter, and identify and label cables/terms </li><li>Troubleshoot enclosures and perform audits on various splicing projects </li><li>Provide accurate and up-to-date project tracking information and production sheets </li><li>Communicate with project engineers, managers and general public </li><li>Help other team members with advanced splicing or project challenges </li></ul> <p>Skills/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced fiber splicing skills </li><li>Leadership </li><li>Problem solving </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Team-oriented </li><li>Microsoft Office, Google Sheets </li><li>Must be able to lift over 75 lbs. </li><li>Adaptable </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>At Velox, our goal is to create a work environment that facilitates both personal and professional growth for our team.
