<p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. </li><li>5+ years of experience working in inventory control. </li><li>Prior distribution center experience. </li></ul> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Manage, plan and coordinate inventory activities and operations while overseeing a team of inventory control associates. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all inventories in a distribution center.</p> <p>Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Manages and motivates the inventory control team and handles all hiring, training, development, and performance appraisals. </li><li>Oversees inventory to ensure that physical inventories are maintained and manages the inventory replenishment process while analyzing changes to inventory levels. </li><li>Identifies and develops solutions for any slow or non-moving products and enters transfers to facilitate movement of materials. </li><li>Manages vendor relations and the vendor return process and analyzes future purchases to reduce exposure to excess. </li><li>Ensures compliance with established procedures and maintains effective internal control over physical product flow and accounting of inventory areas. </li><li>Drives inventory accuracy improvements through the implementations of tools and processes with cross functional teams in production to reduce cost and improve productivity. </li><li>Serves as the primary point of contract for all inventory control related issues and processes. </li></ul> <p>Nature and Scope</p> <ul> <li>Solutions require analysis and investigation. </li><li>Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. </li><li>Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. </li><li>Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. </li><li>Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification.
