<p>Location: Manchester, PA</p> <p>We are seeking a high-energy Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and operational review activities for designated operating locations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform monthly financial close activities, including preparation of financial statements for assigned operating locations </li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts </li><li>Prepare monthly narrative analysis of significant variances to budget and forecast </li><li>Complete monthly four-month financial forecasts </li><li>Perform rate analysis and review </li><li>Update and maintain operational and financial tracking spreadsheets and reports </li><li>Review commercial and residential customer contracts to ensure accurate pricing and billing alignment </li><li>Review expense and capital invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance </li><li>Communicate financial information effectively with business partners </li><li>Assist with quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and reviews </li><li>Participate in the annual budgeting process </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li><li>Assist with preparation for year end accounting work papers </li><li>Research and correct Account Receivable errors </li></ul> <p>Ideal Candidates Will Have</p> <ul> <li>Finance or Accounting degree strongly preferred, but not required </li><li>Recent graduates will be considered </li><li>Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting systems </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>We offer competitive family benefits, including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>FSA and HSA </li><li>Short-term and long-term disability </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>401(k) retirement plan </li><li>Employee Share Purchase Plan </li></ul> <p>Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
