<p>Job Description</p> <p>A Produce Sales Associate is responsible for stocking and displaying fresh produce products while providing exceptional customer service that consistently exceeds expectations. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.</p> <ul> <li>Stocks, rotates and faces fresh produce products according to department procedure; trimming, washing, culling and crisping produce to ensure quality and freshness and limit shrink </li><li>Provides excellent customer service by greeting, assisting customers, taking special orders and responding to customer inquiries and complaints </li><li>Receives product deliveries, ensures order and invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies according to established departmental procedures to ensure freshness and quality </li><li>Checks to ensure that all floor sets, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. are faced and merchandised attractively as per quality standards </li><li>Ensures all items are rotated by first in first out (FIFO) standards </li><li>Organizes and maintains back stock and warehouse storage according to department standards </li><li>Communicates respectfully and effectively with customers on upcoming events, new merchandise and product replenishment to increase sales </li><li>Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations </li><li>Communicates fresh produce needs, adjustments, and problems to the Market Manager promptly and efficiently </li><li>Performs other duties as required or assigned </li></ul> <p>Hourly Role: $16.00-$17.00</p>
