<p>" return to Available Positions</p> <p>Medical Biller</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Medical Billers have oversight of the billing department and are responsible for ensuring that documentation is prepared appropriately. Applicants must have excellent computer skills and strong attention-to-detail as monthly reports will be required. We are looking for a strong candidate who understands ICD-10, CPT, HCPC coding, and has a firm knowledge of NCCI edits and the Appeals process.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Researching the physician's charge information needed to complete billing process </li><li>Coding information about procedures performed and diagnosis on charge </li><li>Keying charge information into online entry program and producing billing </li><li>Processing and distributing copies of billings according to office policies </li><li>Establishing and recommending credit and collection policies </li><li>Participating with other staff to follow up on accounts until no balance or turned over for collection </li><li>Assisting with coding and error resolution, making adjustments to accounts as needed </li><li>Assisting in the processing of insurance claims, including MediCal/MediCare </li><li>Preparing disability claims in a timely manner </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>One year billing experience in a healthcare organization preferred</p> <p>Experience with Workers' Comp, Medicare, MediCal, HMO, PPO, EPO, Tricare, BC/BS</p> <p>Share this listing with a friend</p> <p><em></em>*</p>
