<p>WAYLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY</p> <p>2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR</p> <p>JOB POSTING</p> <p>Title: Long term sub (September 2026-January 2027)- School Psychologist</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Wayland Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and nurturing School Psychologist to join our Student Services team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about integrating psychological services to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students across all grade levels.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct psycho-educational assessments for students in grades K-5 and 9-12, including cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, and executive functioning domains. </li><li>Assessment of Eligibility: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of federal and state special education eligibility categories and criteria to determine student needs. </li><li>Team Collaboration: Present evaluation findings at interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). </li><li>Outside Report Review: Review and interpret outside neuropsychological and psychological reports with teams to facilitate the discussion of recommendations. </li><li>IEP Development: Write measurable social-emotional and behavioral goals and objectives for student IEPs based on evaluation data. </li><li>Consultation: Consult with staff and parents at IEP and Student Support Team (SST) meetings to address educational, behavioral, and mental health needs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Master's, Ed.S., or Ph.D. in School Psychology from an accredited program. </li><li>Experience:Experience conducting comprehensive evaluations in a school-based setting or pediatric environment is preferred </li><li>Cultural: Experience with diverse populations and a strong commitment to Wayland's goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion. </li></ul> <p>Professionalism: Strong communication skills and the personal characteristics necessary to serve as a positive role model for students.</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced Degree:Master's, Ed.S., or Ph.D. in School Psychology from an accredited program. </li><li>DESE Licensure: Active School Psychologist license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). </li><li>SEI Endorsement: Evidence of Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement is mandatory. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule and Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>Hours: 7:45-3:15 </li></ul> <p>Wayland Public Schools (WPS) provides a desirable benefits package for full-time employees which include: health, employer sponsored Health Savings Account, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, 403(b), Dependent Care Account, Flexible Spending Accounts, and participation in retirement pension boards.</p> <p>WPS is an equal opportunity employer committed to the fullest extent to the principle of the dignity of all people and of their labors and will take action to ensure that any individual within the District who is responsible for hiring and/or personnel supervision understands that applicants are employed, assigned, and promoted without regard to their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, genetic information, ancestry, military status, disability or pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition.
