<p>Overview</p> <p>Operates a wide variety of machinery such as Brake Press, Spot Welders, Punch Press, and other similar equipment to fabricate sheetmetal according to production demands & specifications.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Operations</p> <ul> <li>Ownership - Takes ownership to ensure best results and responsibilities are achieved as expected </li><li>Interpret and follow blueprints and use measuring tools for designed machine operation </li><li>Ability to set up, operate, and maintain all machinery ensuring it is in good working order </li><li>Set up machines according to the specifications of the task </li><li>Monitor machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments to produce a better result </li><li>Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools </li><li>Report any malfunctions or defects to the team leader or supervisor immediately </li><li>Meets production to attain daily rates </li><li>Supports shift leader and able to provide direction and train other team members </li><li>Will be required to work at various workstations, depending on production needs </li></ul> <p>Quality Assurance</p> <ul> <li>Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they adhere to production needs which meet print specifications </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Orange Card Program - Actively participates in OCP and submits 1 plus cards per month </li><li>Identify and eliminate process waste </li></ul> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment per 6S Program </li><li>Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment </li><li>Assist co-workers in being safe by correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors when seen </li></ul> <p>Work Ethics</p> <ul> <li>Attendance - Manages personal attendance in accordance with Attendance Policy </li><li>Demonstrates interest in mentoring others and improving their job skills and experience </li><li>Self-motivated - works with minimal supervision, assisting others </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) </li><li>One to two years related manufacturing fabrication experience in sheet metal required </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Math - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals </li><li>Communication - Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills </li><li>Problem Solving - Strong ability to identify issues and offer solutions </li><li>Ability to read/interpret prints and measuring tools </li><li>Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to meet production demands and needs </li><li>Satisfactory teamwork and communication; the ability to work effectively with others and have clear/concise communication </li></ul>
