Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.</p> <p>The Exercise Physiologist develops and oversees exercise prescriptions and progression for patients with cardiovascular disease in a rehabilitative setting, working as part of a five-member team, and divides time between Executive Health, where they conduct comprehensive fitness and health assessments and design tailored exercise programs, and private client services, providing one-on-one personalized training to support individual goals and overall wellness.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days. Monday - Friday 8am - 430pm OR, Four 10 hour shifts 730-6pm, Tuesday - Friday.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide patient testing before and after rehabilitation, including strength, body composition, flexibility, balance and endurance.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide exercise prescriptions for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen.</p> </li><li> <p>Update exercise prescriptions according to patient response.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement concepts of cardiac secondary prevention.</p> </li><li> <p>Recognize contraindications to exercise and abnormal patient responses to exercise.</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriately respond to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide exercise information to patients, peers and the community through public speaking and education classes.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in an exercise-related field</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Good interpersonal skills to work with patients, nurses, physicians and other exercise physiologists</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in an exercise-related field </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and ability to help patients stand and walk.</p> </li><li> <p>Will require some lifting, bending, twisting of upper extremity to help limited patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to adapt to different room temperatures in exercise.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $18.88</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $28.80</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
