We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.</p> <p>High School Security Officer</p> <p>Attleboro High School</p> <p>Coverage for Leave of Absense from September through November 2025</p> <p>Work Hours: 6:00am-1:30pm</p> <p>Job Goal: Provides security in the high school setting.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to de-escalate student to student conflict and student to teacher conflict. </li><li>Friendly, comfortable working with high school students. </li><li>Familiarity with email, text messaging, and data entry. </li><li>Monitors building activity to ensure student safety by walking the building frequently. </li><li>Monitors and enforces parking procedures, checks parking identification stickers, and parking lots. </li><li>Monitors cafeteria as needed. </li><li>Assists the administration as needed by electronically recording student attendance. </li><li>Stands outside before and after school to oversee students entering and leaving the building; boarding buses; etc. </li><li>De-escalate student to student conflict. </li><li>Assists in student search when applicable. </li><li>Assists teachers on an as-needed basis. </li><li>Assists administrators with emergencies. </li><li>Any other duties as assigned by the Principal. </li><li>Other duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Three years' experience in security/public safety work </li><li>Training in conflict resolution </li><li>Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate. </li></ul> <p>Certification/License:</p> <ul> <li>ALICE (or equivalent) Safety training preferred </li><li>Safety Care (or equivalent) Restraint training preferred </li></ul> <p>Reports To: Under the general supervision of the principal.</p> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
