Ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years' experience.</p> <p>A Machinist is responsible for safely repairing production lines, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting problems, preventative maintenance and quality checks while being involved in continuous improvement initiatives.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and operate all production equipment </li><li>Operate all shop equipment proficiently- including but not limited to Milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, MIG welders, hand tools, etc. </li><li>Ability to train mechanical personnel in all aspects of their job functions, including but not limited to, trouble shooting, tool maintenance, preventive maintenance, routine maintenance, operatingequipment, parts fabrication, etc… </li><li>Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems </li><li>Millwright skills </li><li>Good communication skills </li><li>Basic computer knowledge </li><li>Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints </li><li>Work safely </li><li>Participate, as requested, on plant or company project teams </li><li>Maintain Safe Working Environment </li><li>Maintain Housekeeping and Orderliness </li><li>Must be available to work any shift </li><li>Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work independently </li><li>Function well within a team environment </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential </li><li>While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push, pull, twist, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and maybe be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl </li></ul> <p>The employee may be required to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds</p> <ul> <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus </li></ul> <p>The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures</p> <p>The employee may be exposed to loud machinery</p> <ul> <li>We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits such as medical, vision, dental insurance, basic & optional life insurance, 401(k) plan & stock purchase plan, pension plan, long term disability and tuition assistance. </li><li>$34.72 - $38.32 <em>Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level</em> </li></ul> <p>Travel</p> <p>0 - 10%</p> <p>Crown is an equal opportunity employer.
