<p>Plan, assign, and supervise the work and training of custodial workers engaged in cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in one of the custodial zones. This 12-month GA position is available only to those pursuing post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University.</p> <p>Company: BJU Inc.</p> <p>This 12-month GA position is available only to those pursuing post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and instruct employees in proper custodial and safety methods </li><li>Provide a safe work environment through the training of employees and inspection of equipment </li><li>Reassign and adjust crews to respond to special needs or tasks </li><li>Prepare or review written disciplinary actions, memos, and employee performance appraisals </li><li>Inspect all areas within their assigned zone for cleanliness and unusual activity </li><li>Respond to requests in a timely manner </li><li>Act as a liaison between the building representatives and the Custodial department </li><li>Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease complaints, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Knowledge of hazards and safety methods related to custodial operations </li><li>Good communication skills, both written and oral, in one-on-one or group settings or by telephone </li><li>Good writing skills </li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with management </li></ul> <p>OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred </li><li>Ability to keep time and attendance records preferred </li><li>Ability to perform physical inventory of equipment and supplies preferred </li></ul> <p>An applicant for a position in the Bob Jones University group - Bob Jones University, Bob Jones Academy or BJU Press - must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
