<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Qualifications: Must possess or be eligible for CTSDE Certification (062) School Library Media Specialist</p> <p>Salary Range: $51,730-$111,073 in accordance with the teacher contract between the Board of Education and the Suffield Educators Association.</p> <p>Start Date: August 26, 2025</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach students essential skills in research, information literacy, digital citizenship, and ethical technology use. </li><li>Develop and implement engaging library/media lessons using a variety of formats (print, digital, multimedia). </li><li>Manage and maintain a welcoming, well-organized, and resource-rich library environment. </li><li>Foster a love of reading by curating diverse, age-appropriate literature and promoting reading initiatives. </li><li>Effectively collaborate with teachers to support curriculum goals through instructional partnerships and resource alignment. </li><li>Manage library systems including circulation, collection development, and budget planning. </li><li>Collaborate with PK-12 Media Specialist team </li><li>Positively engage students and families in the learning process. </li></ul> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>Current Suffield Public School SEA employees must apply online using the "Internal" application and send an updated resume.</p> <p>External Applicants must apply online and include a cover letter, transcripts, resume and complete list of (3) professional references.</p>
