RANDALL's services and products are delivered through our 100,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, set on 25 acres in Central Florida.</p> <p>Randall Construction is currently seeking a top-tier Class A CDL Driver w/ experience driving an 18-speed manual transmission to work in our Shop / Headquarters in Apopka, FL and to safely make on-time pick-ups / deliveries throughout Florida. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>At Randall Construction, the CDL Driver loads, transports, and unloads goods to/from the Shop, Vendors and Job Sites on large commercial vehicles. Their duties include maintaining their vehicles and completing paperwork related to delivery or driving. When not driving, this person will be expected to assist in our Shop with material handling and learning skilled trades tasks.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle (including 18-speed manual transmission tractor/trailer)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to load / unload - Forklift & Lull Certified</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of gross vehicle weights</p> </li><li> <p>Pick-up and safely transport product to the intended destination</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck, flatbed to prevent damage/injury</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in loading and unloading contents</p> </li><li> <p>Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries</p> </li><li> <p>Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with dispatch as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document</p> </li><li> <p>Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip</p> </li><li> <p>Check weather conditions and road reports before departure</p> </li><li> <p>Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs)</p> </li><li> <p>Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered</p> </li><li> <p>Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs</p> </li><li> <p>Track and report working hours</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to company rules and regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with FDOT regulations and all Florida driving laws</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualification Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of driving an 18-speed manual transmission.</p> </li><li> <p>Class A CDL with current health card.</p> </li><li> <p>Forklift/Lull Certification.</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma required.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication skills (can speak to people in a professional environment).</p> </li><li> <p>Time conscious (can be on time and efficient).</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to pass drug screen and reference check.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety procedures at all times.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work well with others.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time.
