<p>ASSISTANT SAILING COACH</p> <p>Washington College, an NCAA Division III member of the Centennial Conference, is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Sailing Coach. The individual hired will be responsible for assisting with all phases of the Washington College Sailing program, within the college, the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA) conference, and Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) rules and regulations with an emphasis on recruiting and retaining highly qualified prospective student-athletes.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the Head Sailing Coach with program operations and maintenance, athletic instruction/coaching, team practices, conditioning, and recruiting.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct player evaluations at the beginning of the season and coach players of all skill levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster team building and positive team morale.</p> </li><li> <p>Mentor students and monitor student-athlete academic progress and well-being through advising and referrals and help resolve academic and non-academic issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with recruiting and scouting activities; develop and maintain rapport with prospective student-athletes.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with athletic communication and compliance staff regarding media relations for the Sailing program.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with training staff to ensure that all athletes are medically cleared to participate.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with athletic department office to ensure that all athletes meet NCAA eligibility requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Exercise unbiased and independent judgment regarding the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain compliance with all rules of relevant governing bodies including NCAA, ICSA, MAISA conference, WC Athletics Department, and Washington College policies.</p> </li></ul>
