<p>Position Type: Aircraft Electrician</p> <p>Location: Berkeley, MO</p> <p>Hourly rate: $49.65</p> <p>Contractor benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Assists with definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and/or maintenance of Boeing products. Drafts engineering specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes. Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs. Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements. Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. Conducts routine analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes. Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions. Develops computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements. Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Applies engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for assembly and subassembly repair/design </li><li>Directly supports Sub-contractors and Suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for Boeing usage per the contract </li><li>Work in a harsh / high reliability design environment, including previous aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial design/application experience. </li><li>Knowledgeable of connectors, wires, and cables, including the fabrication of cables/bundles, installation of cables/harnesses, etc. </li></ul> <p>Must Have Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Experience or coursework that has given the candidate a familiarity with basic electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transformers, connectors, integrated circuits, etc.) </li><li>Strong evidence of ability to work as part of a team and familiarity with the idea of working within a hierarchal organization as demonstrated by class projects or past experience. </li><li>Strong writing and communication skills in addition to a focus on attention to detail. </li><li>Understanding of the concept of requirements and requirements documentation. </li><li>Understanding the concept of qualifying parts, evaluating parts </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Component evaluation/design/qualification, experience with industry/military aerospace standards (SAE, Mil-specs, ASTMs, IEEE, especially in the area of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) </li><li>Past work experience with connectors, wires, and cable (i.e. electrical interconnect) wiring harnesses, any manufacturing experience </li><li>Specific experience with any sort of heightened requirement or harsh environment application space, including industrial, medical, automotive, and aerospace, and military </li><li>Specific experience with fiber optic interconnect or systems </li><li>Experience writing requirements or defining parameters of electrical systems/parts (similar to qualifying parts). </li><li>Experience with SSOWs or ensuring deliverables for customers </li><li>Specific experience with any type of electrical component fabrication </li><li>Specific experience with writing and reviewing requirements </li><li>Experience with component level design and part selection, including both "from scratch" designs and searching for alternate part substitutions within an established system/circuit. </li><li>Experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and parts </li></ul> <p>Must be U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.</p> <p>EEO Statement Apollo Professional Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
