This individual will be responsible for analyzing and explaining investment results across GAAP and Statutory bases, including identifying key drivers of performance, and communicating insights to senior leadership and various stakeholders across Athene and Apollo.</p> <p>This role requires strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work independently to investigate complex topics and develop well-supported conclusions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in financial analysis and a foundational understanding of GAAP and Statutory reporting.</p> <p>Accountabilities:</p> <p>Lead investment analytics across GAAP and Statutory results:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze monthly and quarterly investment results across multiple asset classes to identify and explain key drivers of performance and key metrics </li><li>Translate complex financial results into clear, concise insights for senior leadership, Investor Relations, and SEC reporting </li><li>Oversee and review analyses produced by team members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of key drivers and insights </li></ul> <p>Build cross-functional partnerships to analyze and explain key drivers of results:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain effective relationships across Investment Finance, Investment Accounting, Financial Reporting, Apollo, Treasury, and IT </li><li>Collaborate across these groups to investigate drivers of results and resolve questions </li><li>Proactively research and interpret information, leveraging these partnerships to anticipate trends and develop clear, well-supported conclusions </li></ul> <p>Support external reporting and stakeholder inquiries:</p> <ul> <li>Provide analytics and insights to support 10Q/10K, MD&A, and other regulatory reporting requirements </li><li>Address ad hoc questions from Investor Relations, Apollo, SEC reporting, and other internal teams with clear, timely, and accurate analysis </li></ul> <p>Own and enhance analytical processes:</p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, and variance attribution processes </li><li>Partner with IT and other teams to drive automation, scalability, and data quality improvements </li></ul> <p>Drive independent problem-solving on complex topics:</p> <ul> <li>Break down ambiguous or complex investment-related issues into structured analyses and actionable insights </li><li>Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by digging into new investment strategies, structures, and accounting implications </li></ul> <p>Lead and develop a team of professionals:</p> <ul> <li>Set expectations, provide mentorship and coaching, and drive accountability and results </li><li>Review team deliverables, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality, consistent output </li><li>Foster collaboration, clear communication, and continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or investment-related roles </li><li>2+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience </li><li>Knowledge of GAAP and Statutory financial accounting regulations a plus </li><li>Ability to break down complex issues into structured analyses and actionable insights </li><li>Comfortable working with ambiguity and independently researching topics </li><li>Ability to synthesize and communicate complex financial information </li><li>Proactive and intellectually curious mindset with ability to partner effectively across teams </li><li>Experience improving processes and driving efficiencies </li><li>Proficiency in Excel, PPT and additional data analysis tools a plus </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field </li><li>CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus </li></ul> <p>Drive.
