<p>Advertised Position Title:</p> <p>Instructor, Magnetic Resonance Imaging</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Fully responsible for the maintenance and continuation of JRCERT program accreditation. Communicates with students, Clinical Education Coordinator(s), other faculty, MRI program, Director/Chair MRI Technology regarding student, classroom, and laboratory needs and issues.</p> <p>Maintains competency in the professional discipline and instructional evaluative techniques through continuing professional development. Provides students with didactic content as defined in the JRCERT standards. Updates course syllabi according to the Curriculum Committee template.</p> <p>Submits course syllabi and course outlines to Program Director.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Article 7 of OFA contract </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Extensive knowledge base as related to the MRI concentrations of a JRCERT accredited</p> </li><li> <p>program.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of academics in higher education including but not limited to innovative content</p> </li><li> <p>delivery, assessment of student learning, adapting to differing learning styles, alignment of course</p> </li><li> <p>content with clinical requirements, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills, communication and organizational skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to recognize strengths and weaknesses in students' performance and adapt teaching style to accommodate.</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li> <p>This individual will bring a positive outlook to every situation, treat all others with respect, kindness, and be eager to assist others.</p> </li><li> <p>Must strive to build strong, positive working relationships with peers, supervisors and others by listening carefully, asking questions and striving to understand.</p> </li><li> <p>They will represent their program, department and the college as an academic professional in appearance, communication, and behavior.</p> </li><li> <p>This individual will work well as a member of an innovative, effective and efficient team always looking toward continuous quality improvement and will consistently set and achieve goals in the stated time frame.</p> </li><li> <p>They must take responsibility for their actions, and demonstrate trustworthiness, honesty, and high personal standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's degree with Bachelor's degree completion in two years.</p> </li><li> <p>Two ( 2) years teaching experience</p> </li><li> <p>Two (2) years full-time clinical experience in MRI</p> </li><li> <p>ARRT registered in MRI</p> </li><li> <p>CPR certified</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> </li><li> <p>Five (5) years clinical experience in MRI</p> </li><li> <p>5 years teaching experience with proficiency in course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising</p> </li></ul> <p>Union Position:</p> <p>Owens Faculty Association</p> <p>Job Classification:</p> <p>Faculty</p> <p>Duty Days:</p> <p>173 Days</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>The schedule is based on the needs of students, the program, and the clinic, totaling 40 hours per week. This includes 15 contact hours per semester and 7 office hours per week.
