<p>POSITION TITLE: Planning Manager</p> <p>REPORTS TO: VP of Operations</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Planning Manager oversees and continuously improves Alinabal's production planning and material control functions. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role ensures that supply chain activities align with operational objectives to support customer satisfaction, delivery performance, and manufacturing efficiency. The position requires direct engagement with planning systems, close coordination with cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to managing production schedules, capacity, and inventory. Through strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, the Planning Manager drives the accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness of planning processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead all aspects of production planning and scheduling across multiple product lines to ensure alignment with customer demand, inventory targets, and operational capacity. </li><li>Oversee daily, weekly, and long-range production plans; adjust based on demand fluctuations, material availability, and capacity constraints. </li><li>Develop and maintain planning tools and ERP parameters to drive accuracy in material requirements and work order generation. </li><li>Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery and seamless workflow execution. </li><li>Manage capacity planning and recommend adjustments to labor and equipment utilization. </li><li>Monitor and analyze key planning metrics (OTD, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, etc.) and implement corrective actions where necessary. </li><li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in planning processes, inventory control, and cross-functional communication. </li><li>Support new product introductions by aligning planning timelines with launch schedules. </li><li>Partner with the VP of Operations on strategic initiatives to support operational scalability and performance targets. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (MBA or APICS/CPIM certification a plus). </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in production/material planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors. </li><li>Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems (experience with Epicor, Oracle, or similar strongly preferred). </li><li>Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and planning-related data tools. </li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. </li><li>Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. </li><li>Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving organization and contribute to a culture of operational excellence. </li></ul> <p>Other Details:</p> <ul> <li>Work Environment: Office-based with regular interaction on the manufacturing floor. Exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature changes when working with production or operations teams. </li><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout office and production environments as needed. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds. Frequent use of computer systems and office tools; visual acuity required for reviewing planning data and production documentation. </li><li>Schedule: Full-time; Monday to Friday.
