<p>Title: Shift Activity Coordinator - Night Shift</p> <p>Department: Barrier</p> <p>Reports to: Production Manager</p> <p>Location: Hebron, OH</p> <p>Positions: 1</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Shift Activity Coordinator ("SAC") is the lead operator on crew who manages the staffing calendar, coordinates activity for their crew each shift, successfully delegates tasks, leads by example, ensure their crew stays SAFE above all else, and leads with positivity. The SAC should be able to thrive under pressure and be able to manage personalities and conflicts as they arise, with support of the Production Manager and Plant Manager. This position works on a rotating shift schedule with the crew they are assigned, and includes nights, weekends, and holidays.</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>2-2-3 Night Shift; 6:00pm - 6:00am</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Champion the values of safety, quality, and delivery on crew each shift </li><li>Lead with positivity and successfully delegate as necessary </li><li>Manage the staffing calendar in conjunction with 3 other SACs in the department </li><li>Learn and understand the equipment and process of making plastic film </li><li>Teach new operators the basics of operation, including operating the equipment, performing Safe Work Permits, quality testing, and other tasks required of operators </li><li>Be a positive influence to the team, leading by example and demonstrating no task is too small for anyone </li><li>Provide performance feedback to the Production Manager regarding the operators on their crew </li><li>Coach team members through conflict and possible upsets </li><li>Work on a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime and possible call-ins </li><li>Act as the Immediate Response Leader in times of emergency </li><li>Keep track of meaningful performance metrics on the SQDC boards and take action appropriately </li><li>Adjust line assignments of operators according to line priorities as needed </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree or greater preferred. Equivalent work experience accepted in place of degree. </li><li>Familiarity with PLC operations </li><li>Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution and leading with a positive attitude </li><li>Strong mechanical or electrical skills are desired, but leadership skills are paramount </li><li>Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality, exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills </li><li>Must possess good problem solving skills. </li><li>Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing </li><li>Proficient in Excel and Word </li><li>Willingness to work as team member or independently </li></ul> <p>Training:</p> <p>Production Training will be done while working on-shift</p> <p>Utility Training will be done on-shift and through training coordination</p> <ul> <li>Process training </li><li>eLogger log entry training </li><li>MVP Plant work order system training </li><li>MOVE eX training - production roll entry system </li><li>Red Tag Lockout training - verifies isolations </li><li>Immediate Response training </li><li>Calendar Management - Overtime, sickness, call offs, etc </li><li>Conflict Resolution training </li><li>Safe Work Permit training </li><li>Shift Change Meeting - leads meeting </li><li>Film Quality Testing - production and lab testing </li><li>Day to day coordination of production activities - line priorities, manpower, etc. </li></ul> <p>Transcendia is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all candidates for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</p>
