<p>The College of Dentistry is looking for a Research Support Specialist to join our Dental Research team! In this role, you will support a broad portfolio of research projects by assisting with the full lifecycle of grants and contracts-from proposal preparation to post-award compliance. You'll collaborate closely with faculty, funding agencies, and internal departments to ensure smooth, efficient research operations.</p> <p>For a full job description, please send an e-mail to COD-Requisitions@iowa.uiowa.edu.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and assist in management of grant proposals, budgets, and submissions. </li><li>Ensure compliance with sponsor and university guidelines. </li><li>Support post-award activities, reporting, and issue resolution. </li><li>Monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting. </li><li>Work with faculty, funding agencies, and internal offices. </li><li>Assist with subawards, routing forms, and documentation. </li><li>Provide general administrative support for research projects. </li><li>And MORE! </li></ul> <p>Salary: $59,921 to commensurate (Pay Grade: 4A)</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm</p> <p>May require occasional overtime.</p> <p>Work Location: On-Site; a hybrid/remote work arrangement may be considered upon completion of training and will be at the discretion of the supervisor with consideration of institutional needs.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required. </li><li>1-year relevant experience working with externally funded grants and grant submissions. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen working relationships. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel (or equivalent). </li><li>Excellent independent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple and concurrent tasks within deadlines. </li></ul> <p>HIGHLY Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with post award grant management including subawards and grant projections. </li><li>Experience with NIH Grants policy and procedures </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Cayuse proposal submission system. </li><li>Experience with NIH eRA Commons as a delegate. </li><li>Experience with University of Iowa Routing Forms. </li><li>Experience with NIH RPPR's. </li><li>Experience with NIH Training Grants and Training Grant Tables. </li></ul> <p>Position and Application Details:</p> <p>In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must upload a Resume (and mark as "Relevant File") to their submission.
