Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Is Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Adherence to all facility work rules and housekeeping/cleanliness. Demonstrates working knowledge and adherence to Arc-Flash and LOTO requirements. Demonstrates proper use of electrical measuring devices such as multimeters, insulation resistance meters, and power analyzers. Also demonstrates proper use of hand and power tools such as drills and saws. Proficient using powered and hand conduit benders and threaders. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Completion of an accredited Electrician Apprenticeship or vocational training program is desired but not always required. A solid understanding of electrical theory, troubleshooting methods, math skills, safety protocols, and NEC is advantageous. Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks without restrictions (lifting 50 lbs. unassisted frequently).
