<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Assistant Superintendent works under the direction of the superintendent in coordination</p> <p>with building principals. The position entails coordinating federal programs and includes</p> <p>submission and oversight of federal budgets, supporting schools in the implementation of</p> <p>federal programs, and compliance with relevant rules and regulations. (McKinney-Vento Act,</p> <p>ESAF and district/building ACSIP AR APP.) Additionally, this position will oversee state and</p> <p>federal audits and pertinent data submission and reporting. Child Nutrition Director- all aspect of</p> <p>Child Nutrition.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>To oversee and be responsible for the districts; Federal Programs Child Nutrition Director,</p> <p>Personnel reports, Accreditation, Plant Management, Compliance, Policies, Title lX,</p> <p>To supervise and be responsible for the formulation of the district's ASCIP, (AR APP), plan</p> <p>To be responsible for working with district testing coordinator on Data Analysis</p> <p>To be responsible for overseeing and coordinating Supplemental Programs (SES) for the district</p> <p>To oversee the school report card and other reporting responsibilities of the district</p> <p>To oversee McKinney-Vento Funding</p> <p>To coordinate and oversee Compliance Monitoring of the district</p> <p>To seek and write possible district grant opportunities</p> <p>To develop/maintain Family-Community Plan, Wellness Plan, etc.</p> <p>To oversee CTE compliance</p> <p>To oversee Standards of Accreditation</p> <p>To oversee district website requirements</p> <p>To oversee any granted waivers or waivers being applied for by the district</p> <p>To assist with the implementation of new laws, policies, and procedures</p> <p>To assist building principals as directed by superintendent</p> <p>To assist with AE, 504, and special education</p> <p>To perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee's supervisor, or</p> <p>the superintendent.</p> <p>Other possible areas of assistance may include but not limited to the following: Budget,</p> <p>curriculum and instruction, safety and security, Legislation, public relations,</p> <p>Professional development</p> <p>POSITION QUALI FICATIONS</p> <p>Competency Statements <em>Knowledge of the schools and CMS policies and procedures </em>Evidence of strong commitment to quality education <em>Evidence of strong organizational skills </em>Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Minimum of Masters Degree with an accredited educational institution. Other requirements per</p> <p>job description.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>(3) yea(s) teaching i administrative experience with proven knowledge of Federal and State</p> <p>program guidelines and grant-writing ability preferred. Other requirements per job description.</p> <p>Certificates & Licenses</p> <p>Valid Arkansas certificate or license to comply with the necessary requirements to meet the</p> <p>position's essential duties and responsibilities.</p> <p>Computer Skills</p> <p>Ability to apply basic computer programs (spreadsheet, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,</p> <p>others) to enhance job performance.
