<p>The Position</p> <p>Accounting Assistants perform clerical accounting work in the maintenance of accounts and accounting records for State agencies.</p> <p>Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.</p> <p>The Division of Public and Behavioral Health is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant 3 in Revenue Management Unit located in Carson City. The Accounting Assistant 3 is responsible for processing billing claims and payments in Avatar and RevConnect Clearinghouse for Medicaid, Medicare and Private Insurance clients. The candidate will prepare and process any re-bills, if necessary, due to rejections from insurance providers, review or correct posting errors from Guarantor Health Report for billing services, and post payments to client accounts. In addition, the Accounting Assistant 3 will also review, analyze and apply medical regulations, guidelines, and principles to the billing process; assist other accounting assistants with daily deposits, and post corrections to clients' accounts. <em>THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.
