In this role you will assist in several operation management functions including purchasing, production expediting, production planning and general operation administration needs. If you have experience supporting a manufacturing environment we want to hear from you.</p> <p>What will your days look like? These are just some of the functions you will be responsible for:</p> <p>Production Questions e-mails:</p> <ul> <li>Track and take the appropriate planning actions to determine order status, expedited statuses, and manufacturing delays in order to avoid late orders </li><li>Track production schedules, expedites, movement of product, material replenishment, maintenance requests, IT requests. Initiate the replacement or rework for lost, damaged, changed or scrapped product due to the manufacturing process in accordance with the production schedule </li><li>Coordinating approval of rush requests from sales </li></ul> <p>Purchasing Outsourced products:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare, review purchase orders to ensure specification accuracy and completeness </li><li>Schedule/release/expedite material as required. </li><li>Confirm vendor invoicing for accuracy to purchase orders </li><li>Purchase and prepare quotes for materials, components and outside factory services </li><li>Resolve vendor pricing and delivery issues </li><li>Communicate supply activities on a variety of material requirements and production schedule date changes </li></ul> <p>Production Planning:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and report on specified production processes </li><li>Assist with Large Order Lead time request </li></ul> <p>Enter production orders for inventory replenishment</p> <p>Updating and maintaining communications boards for production including:</p> <ul> <li>Weekly Scorecard </li><li>Company information </li><li>HR information </li><li>Previous Month Core Value Winners </li><li>Upcoming CI Events </li><li>SCIP's </li><li>Upcoming Celebrations/Events </li><li>Additionally information covered in the monthly meeting (many production employees, across all shifts are unable to attend) </li></ul> <p>All other duties as assigned</p> <p>Qualification and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Minimum 2+ years working in manufacturing environment </li><li>Ability to speak and write professionally and accurately in English and Spanish highly preferred </li><li>Ability to read and interpret proofs, work instructions, BOM's, and associated production procedures </li><li>Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision </li><li>Basic computer knowledge including the ability to utilize all systems required by production </li><li>Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, proven organizational and planning abilities, as well as outstanding problem-solving skills </li><li>Proven track record of outstanding attendance </li><li>Strong communication skills including verbal, reading and writing </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot production issues to resolution </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding production deadlines </li><li>Effective time management skills necessary </li><li>Understanding and proven track record of meeting employee expectations </li><li>Experience with lean manufacturing and/or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred </li></ul> <p>Physical and Mental Demands, and Work Environment:</p> <p>The physical and mental demand, and work environmental requirements described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, and performance. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in our profit-sharing program.
