Description</p> <p>Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds</p> <p>Purpose of the Role and Scope of Responsibility: Assists the Director or other appropriate administrator in the management of the buildings and grounds operations. This position is generally responsible for the assisting in the management of facilities and grounds department personnel and major functions.</p> <p>Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in managing Buildings and Grounds staff. </li><li>Ensures all buildings and grounds are up to Ranken standards at all times. </li><li>Assists in yearly budget planning for department. </li><li>Oversees campus renovations and construction projects. </li><li>Oversees all Ranken-owned properties, lawns, landscaping, and snow removal. </li><li>Ensures all maintenance issues of all locations are being resolved. </li><li>Is involved with designs and planning concerning buildings and grounds. </li><li>Serves as contact for outside contractors/venders </li><li>Assists in preparing and maintaining all paperwork and permits for city, state, and federal governments. </li><li>Serves as primary OSHA compliance contact. </li><li>Assists in managing department efficiency and work load delegation </li><li>Oversees and schedules all state and federal facility inspections and associated requirements. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Knowledge/Education- Required: High School diploma or GED; Preferred: Associate degree or technical school certification. Experience - Required: 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance department or facility project management; preferred experience: Experience supervising maintenance staff preferably in an educational institute, experience in project coordinating is a plus</p> <p>Note - Some evening and/or weekend hours will be required to participate in campus recruiting functions.</p> <p>The above information is intended to describe the most important aspects of the job.
