<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Reporting to the Rehabilitation Therapies Supervisor/Manager, the Staff Physical Therapist conducts comprehensive assessments of in and outpatients with physical and functional deficits, planning and implementing individual/group physical therapy treatments to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, prevent permanent disability and restore independence, using various treatment techniques. Collaborates with other disciplines to arrange for appropriate follow-up care and facilitates a successful return to home and work environments. Provides student training according to departmental guidelines and participates in continuous education.</p> <p>Position: Physical Therapist</p> <p>Department: Inpatient Rehab Therapies</p> <p>Schedule: This position is Per Diem, Days</p> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>Work requires a Bachelor's / Master's or equivalent in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution by start date. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work requires a current Commonwealth of Massachusetts license by start date.</p> </li><li> <p>APTA and MCAPTA membership preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires AHA or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Workers certification by start date</p> </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>For this per diem position, Physical Therapists with 2+ years of inpatient acute care experience encouraged to apply. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work requires interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients, families and various members of the health care team.</p> </li><li> <p>Work requires analytical abilities sufficient to evaluate patients' condition, capabilities and progress to develop appropriate treatment programs.</p> </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Conducts physical therapy evaluation procedures according to professional and departmental guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes treatment goals and plans that reflect the needs of the patients while meeting departmental, institutional, and third party reimbursement requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements comprehensive individual and group treatment. Consistently demonstrates clinical competence.</p> </li><li> <p>Complies with departmental, institutional, and accrediting agency policies and standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Shows evidence of on-going professional growth and knowledge of regulations and standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in the development and evaluation of physical therapy programs</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with colleagues and other professionals to provide high quality patient care.
