Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>Three years of supervisory, driver training instructional, regulatory or related experience, including or supplemented by one year of experience in testing applicants for driver licenses for heavy or commercial vehicles.</p> <p>LICENSE REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>At the time of application:</p> <p>Possession of a valid commercial driver's license Category A (CDL A)with all endorsements.</p> <p>Verification Requirement:Please attach a copy of your valid CDL Category A licenseto your application (front and back); or mail in a photocopy of your driver's licenseby the closing date of the recruitmentto the following address:Department of Human Resources, 650 South King Street, 10th Floor, Honolulu, HI 96813. All documents must be legible in order to be given credit.</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>Candidates for examiners of Category 4 and Commercial Driver's licenses must possess a good driving record, as evidenced by a certified traffic abstract with no moving violations within the past three (3) years; and a valid commercial driver's license Category A, for at least three years immediately preceding appointment. In addition, candidates must possess a valid commercial driver's license Category A with passenger endorsement.</p> <p>Verification Requirement: At the time of interview, you must provide a current certified traffic abstract issued by the District Courts.</p> <p>Examination Process</p> <p>If you qualify for the position, your name will be eligible for consideration for current vacancy and future job openings with this job title.
