<p>Type:Full TimeSalary/Pay Rate:$65,000-$75,000/yearPosted Date:04/28/2025</p> <p>Youth Services</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The position exists to provide clinical oversight and supervision of each the Crisis Intervention Specialists and Intensive In-Community Case Manager (when available) to ensure the application of all relevant law and ethics in the practice of clinical intervention on the unit. The position also oversees the development of all clinical interns and is responsible for quality improvement activities in the FCIU.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Functions under the rules of the Court provided by the Family Court Legislation N.J.S.A. 2A:4A-1 et. Seq. (See Juvenile/Family Crisis Operations Manual) </li><li>Provides clinical supervision of the clinical team which consists of five (5) Crisis Intervention Specialists and one (1) Intensive In-Community Case Manager for a minimum of one hour per week each week. Supervision entails a review of all aspects of clinical work which includes case planning, clinical assessment, direct client contact, case documentation and case collaboration with other community agency and providers. </li><li>Ensures compliance with all legislative mandates including those contained in the Juvenile/Family Crisis Operations Manual </li><li>Ensures adherence of ethical and legal standards of clinical practice as dictated by all major governing bodies of clinical work including the National Board of Social Workers, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the National Board of Licensed Professional Counselors </li><li>Supervises at least one graduate level intern each year </li><li>Conducts monthly Quality Assurance reviews of case files and ensures correction and/or notation of problems in documentation of case files are addressed </li><li>Reports directly to the Director of the Family Crisis Intervention Unit (FCIU) and apprises Director of any trends or barriers in service provision </li><li>Meets with the Director of the FCIU once per week for supervision </li><li>Participates in one of the three main Performance Quality Improvement Subcommittees in the Office of Youth Services </li><li>Assumes the responsibility of the operation of the FCIU in the absence of the Director </li><li>Shares 24/7 365 day a year on-call coverage with the Director. </li><li>Reviews all referrals and walk-ins to determine level and expediency of needed response. Triages when necessary. </li><li>Reviews, processes and assigns all referrals coming to the unit while enforcing or ensuring a 24 hour (business) response to all new referrals. </li><li>Makes all clinical decisions in regards to any immediate situation. Consults when necessary with the Director in regard to the type and breadth of the intervention and compliance to legal and ethical standards and state legislation. </li><li>Consults with the director regarding planning for a case whenever a petition to the Superior Court and/or an out-of-home placement is being considered. </li><li>Carries personal liability insurance policy at a minimum of $1,000,000/$3,000,000 </li></ul> <p>Essential Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited graduate program with a minimum of a Master's degree in one of the following fields of study: Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or other related field </li><li>Possession of a clinical license issued by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs (LCSW, LMFT or LPC) </li><li>A minimum of five years of postgraduate experience working with at-risk youth and their families providing family therapy </li><li>A minimum of 30 continuing education units of training in clinical supervision </li><li>Recognition of being an Approved Supervisor for the NJ Board of Social Work and the NJ Board of Marriage and Family Therapy </li><li>Specialized training in family therapy theory and intervention as part of masters or postmasters education. </li><li>Specialized training in crisis intervention </li><li>Knowledge and experience working with the children's system of care, juvenile justice system, education, mental health and social service systems in the state of NJ </li><li>Well-versed in legal and ethical standards and the ethics of the National Association of Social Workers, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the American Psychological Association </li><li>Demonstrates ability to work with diverse populations and be highly sensitive to ethnic and cultural differences </li><li>Demonstrates good communication skills including the ability to appropriately express oneself both verbally and in writing </li><li>Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office </li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak the English language </li><li>Possession of a valid NJ driver's license </li><li>Preforms other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Somerset County-specific services for youth and families, including court operations, particularly in relation to juvenile matters and psychological and social services </li><li>Two years of experience providing clinical supervision to masters level clinicians </li><li>Experience with treatment and billing software packages </li><li>Knowledge and experience with Publisher and PowerPoint </li><li>Fluent in Spanish both verbally and in writing </li></ul>
