This position will conduct ongoing quality assessments, project monitoring and communications with the Principal Investigator. The assistant will also collect and review data according to specific protocols and national guidelines and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.</p> <p>Principal duties and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensures the integrity and maintenance of the database. </li><li>Requests potential case lists from all DE birth hospitals and allied facilities, formats, links, and uploads these lists to the database. </li><li>Abstracts infant and maternal data from a variety of sources and enters data directly into the database. </li><li>Runs reports and simple statistical analysis on predetermined fields within the database. </li><li>Provides the Principal Investigator with periodic registry updates and review of complex cases as needed. </li><li>Troubleshoots quality, database, or abstraction procedural issues, and assists with developing more current data entry processes. </li><li>Works with all members of the team to understand the different methods used in data collection and navigation from the different clinical sites. </li><li>Assists with writing SOPs for the case definition, data collection and management piece of the project. </li><li>Assists with special projects as needed. </li><li>Conducts regular data audits on data quality, consistency and accuracy and submits results from those audits to the Principal Investigator. </li><li>Maintains an organized system of tracking for all patient data and shares with the Principal Investigator. </li><li>Represents Christiana Care Health System within other medical institutions throughout the State of Delaware in a positive and professional manner. </li><li>Updates the DBDR Procedure Manual as needed based on Clinical reviews or quality assessments. </li><li>Exports the final data from the database, reviews, cleans, and sends final data to The DE Division of Public Health at the completion of each cohort year. </li><li>Complete NBDPN Annual Report, Data Quality Assessment, and Update Directory Information. </li><li>Partner with consultants to create and implement program enhancements. </li><li>Complete the IRB Continuing Review Form each year. </li></ul> <p>Education and experience requirements:</p> <p>Associates degree required, degree in healthcare or related field preferred.</p> <p>Three years' experience in healthcare or related field preferred.</p> <p>Three years' experience in gathering data, and using software to abstract, edit or tabulate data preferred.</p> <p>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.</p> <p>Post End Date</p> <p>May 5, 2025</p> <p>EEO Posting Statement</p> <p>Christiana Care Health System is an equal opportunity employer, firmly committed to prohibiting discrimination, whose staff is reflective of its community, and considers qualified applicants for open positions without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity or expression, age, veteran status, disability, pregnancy, citizenship status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.</p>
