<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Campus Title: Assistant Professor of Project Management</p> <p>Budget Title: Assistant Professor</p> <p>Unit: UUP-08; view our generous state benefits summary https://www.suny.edu/media/suny/content-assets/documents/benefits/benefit-summaries/UUP-FT-Benefits-at-a-Glance.pdf</p> <p>Professional Rank and Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000</p> <p>Duration: Academic Year (this position follows the 10-month academic schedule)</p> <p>Start Date: We anticipate a Fall 2026 start, but are open to considering an earlier start based on availability</p> <p>Brief Description of Duties:</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville is seeking an Assistant Professor for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to lead and teach in the Project Management, M.S. degree. The Assistant Professor will support course instruction at the Graduate Level, providing fully online lectures, student advisement course preparation, and instruction for this fully online program.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <p>The applicant's knowledge and skill set should include the following:</p> <p>The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to support the Project Management graduate program at SUNY Morrisville with high-quality and engaging teaching, curriculum development and improvement, and student mentoring and coaching. They will also have numerous opportunities to collaborate with other faculty and industry partners and engage with the broader academic community. It is essential that the candidate has a combination of academic and professional experience in project and program management and experience working with a diverse base of professionals and teaching a diverse population of students. The candidate will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach graduate-level courses in the Project Management, M.S. program </li><li>Advance thought leadership in project management through applied industry experience and/or research, </li><li>Contribute to course development and curriculum improvement for the program, </li><li>Build industry relationships and partnerships to enhance the program's connection to the workplace, </li><li>Support the growth and development of the adjunct faculty base within the program, and </li><li>Contribute collaboratively to advancing the School of ABT and SUNY Morrisville mission and strategic plan. </li></ul> <p>Student Mentorship:</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance and support to students throughout their educational journey, including recruiting students to join our program, academic advising & retention, career coaching, supervision of student capstones experience. </li><li>Foster a student-centered approach that emphasizes individual growth and prepares students for success after graduation. </li></ul> <p>In addition to teaching, faculty are also expected to engage in departmental, university, and community service. These may include academic advising, program assessment, student recruitment, mentoring of graduate student applied research and activities, grantsmanship, faculty-led capstone experience, and independent research and consulting.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or closely related field. </li><li>Some experience teaching or working as an instructor. </li><li>Relevant industry experience, at least three years with some progressive experience demonstrated. </li><li>Experience teaching fully online courses and programs using a Learning Management System (such as Brightspace). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills. </li><li>Teaching experience at the graduate level with related/relevant discipline. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville is committed to creating a vibrant community enriched by diverse perspectives, talents and experiences, and prohibits discrimination in employment based on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, physical capability, age, creed, sexual identity, veteran status, and economic means.
