<p>Job Title: BIM ManagerJob Description</p> <p>We are seeking a VDC Manager to lead digital project delivery, constructability integration, and electrical design coordination for complex industrial and commercial projects. This role bridges engineering, BIM/VDC, and field execution, ensuring models and designs are constructible, fabrication-ready, and aligned with installation workflows. The successful candidate will guide a team of BIM modelers in understanding and effectively ensuring designs are constructible in the field. As the technical and digital delivery lead for plan/specification, design-assist, and design-build electrical projects, you will lead the development and coordination of electrical models and designs.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and coordination of electrical models and designs, including one-line diagrams, power distribution systems, lighting layouts, controls, and equipment placement, ensuring compliance with NEC and applicable local codes. </li><li>Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to produce coordinated, installation-ready models and drawings, and lead electrical BIM coordination to achieve clash-free integration with other trades. </li><li>Drive constructability reviews and proactively identify installation constraints, access issues, sequencing conflicts, and productivity risks prior to field execution. </li><li>Collaborate closely with field leadership and prefabrication teams to incorporate labor efficiency, modularization, and fabrication strategies into design and modeling workflows. </li><li>Support value engineering initiatives by developing cost-effective technical solutions without sacrificing performance, safety, or quality. </li><li>Partner with project managers, estimators, and operations leadership to align BIM deliverables with project schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and construction sequencing. </li><li>Manage and mentor BIM Engineers, Designers, and VDC resources, including workload planning, performance development, and technical training. </li><li>Establish and enforce modeling standards, coordination workflows, and quality control processes across projects. </li><li>Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and client-facing discussions to provide technical leadership during preconstruction and execution phases. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent field-based electrical construction experience. </li><li>5+ years of experience supporting electrical construction projects in BIM, VDC, engineering, or design-build environments. </li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting constructability-driven modeling and field coordination. </li><li>Ability to lead technical teams and manage direct reports. </li><li>Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in BIM engineering and electrical engineering. </li><li>Experience with virtual design constructability and change orders. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is based in an office setting. Compensation includes a salary commensurate with experience, bonus opportunities, and additional compensation for required travel.
